Chief of Adult Medicine

Melbourne, Florida

Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership and direction for clinical services in the Family/Adult Medicine department
• Supervise a team of 40 Physicians and Midlevel providers
• Maintain a 50% administrative and 50% clinical split
• Select office location from 13 clinic sites
• Travel to other locations for administrative support as needed

Schedule:

• Standard office hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
• No weekend duties
• Telephone call responsibilities: 3 weeks per year, schedule published one year in advance

Compensation and Benefits:

• Negotiable annual salary: $240,000
• Yearly salary increases
• Bonus equivalent to 15% of base salary

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience as a practicing physician in primary health care
• Active Florida Medical License or ability to obtain
• Board Certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
• DEA License
• Current BLS/CPR certification
• Proficiency in Electronic Medical Records
• Practice and personnel management experience
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Extensive knowledge of diagnosing and treating injuries, diseases, and ailments
• Understanding of value-based care
