Community Health Network has an excellent opportunity available with our team of Clinical Nurse Specialists in Specialty Maternity/OB Services at Community East and South. The Clinical Nurse Specialist Intern is learning to provide expert, integrated supportive consultation services for the promotion of safe, cost-effective, quality patient care across the health care continuum to providers, consumers, and payers in the health care system through direct practice, education, research, and clinical leadership across the continuum.

Exceptional Skills and Qualifications:

  • Must be enrolled, accepted, and have completed 18 credit hours in a Master of Science degree in nursing with a dedicated track as a Clinical Nurse Specialist or have a Master of Science degree in nursing and have been accepted to a post-master's program in a dedicated track as a Clinical Nurse Specialist. Academic progression must be demonstrated with degree completion within 2 years of acceptance of this Clinical Nurse Specialist Intern role. (Required)
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid license to practice in the state of Indiana as listed in the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC). (Required)
  • Demonstrated expertise in the practice of nursing validated by three years of current clinical practice. (Required)
  • Ability to adapt to a variety of situations, change, and new learnings.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
  • Effectively manage conflicts and use interpersonal skills.
  • Operationalize network goals.
  • Able to utilize Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
