Internal Medicine position in South Central Idaho - mix of inpatient shifts and outpatient clinic

• Hospital employed position
• Located in South Central Idaho 2.5 hours from Boise, ID and Salt Lake City, UT
• Hospital has one full-time hospitalist physician now plus two other community IM doctors that rotate on inpatient coverage.
• Expected schedule will be covering one week of inpatient work every 8 or 9 weeks (rotating between the 3 community IM doctors in town)
• The week you are in the hospital you will do inpatient rounds in the mornings and have outpatient clinic in the afternoons. There is overnight call from home during the week you are on inpatient service.
• There is no call or after hours work besides the week you are on inpatient service.
• 25 bed critical access hospital with 1 ICU bed and 3 isolation/covid rooms
• Procedural skills needed such as intubations, central lines and vent management
• Hospital is willing to sponsor a J-1 visa holder interested in a long-term commitment
• Hospital qualifies for loan repayment through the NHSC (tax-free loan assistance)
• Negotiable Sign-on and retention bonus plus paid relocation, malpractice insurance and full benefits and retirement package
• Base salary is guaranteed in the $275,000 - $300,000 range plus WRVU bonus incentives ($66-$69 per WRVU). Doctors average 4,000 - 6,000 RVU's per year.
• Reason for opening: recent retirement of a long-time physician in the community
• Must be Board Eligible/Certified by American Board of Internal Medicine
